The Juliane variety is an upright shrub 30–40 cm in height and width. The plant's foliage has a dark green shade, and the flowering is characterized as late, continuing from August to December.
The plant belongs to the bud-blooming heather group, whose buds do not open completely, which provides resistance to weather conditions and long-lasting ornamental value. The variety is frost-resistant; the appearance of a mutation with more vigorous growth has also been recorded.
