Captain F1 pepper is a mid-season hybrid with a ripening period of about 73 days. The plant has vigorous development, good foliage, and an open bush architecture, which facilitates care and harvesting. The variety is adapted for cultivation in the open field.
The fruits have a classic blocky shape and are characterized by high uniformity. At the technical maturity stage, they are dark green, and their size ranges from large to very large (Jumbo). The produce is suitable both for the fresh market and for industrial processing.
The hybrid possesses complex disease resistance. It exhibits resistance to races 1–10 of bacterial spot and is also tolerant to phytophthora blight caused by Phytophthora capsici.
