The plant is a historical ecotype of the Abruzzo region. The crop is distinguished by its compactness and high productivity. The fruits have an intense red color at maturity, reach 10–12 cm in length, and possess a sweet taste with a small amount of seeds.
The variety is intended primarily for drying and subsequent grinding into powder, which is used as a seasoning for pasta and meat products. The plant is suitable for cultivation in open field and protected cultivation, requires well-drained soils and the use of supports.
