The variety was created by crossing local Romanian hot pepper varieties, such as Cornul Caprei, with highly productive foreign accessions of the Habanero, Jalapeno, and Madame Janette groups. The breeding was aimed at improving the qualitative characteristics of the fruits.

Studies of the biochemical composition of the fruits revealed a high vitamin C content, exceeding 100% of the daily value per 100 g of fresh weight in unripe fruits. Analyses of dry matter content, soluble sugars, acidity, lycopene, and beta-carotene were also conducted depending on the stage of ripeness.

Due to the low dry matter and soluble solids content, the variety can be recommended for processing, in particular for the production of chili pepper powder. Precise agrotechnical data, such as plant height or maturity period, are not specified in the publications.
