Shinako (Shinako F1, also KS 2458 F1) is an early-maturing sweet pepper hybrid. The plant is characterized by a vigorous bush type, open structure, and good foliage, protecting the fruits from sunburn.
The fruits have a conical shape of the "Kapia" type, turning from green to deep red upon reaching biological maturity. The average fruit weight is 80–90 g with a wall thickness of 4–6 mm.
The hybrid possesses stress tolerance and high resistance to Verticillium wilt, Fusarium wilt, and tobacco mosaic virus. The produce is suitable for fresh consumption, processing, freezing, and drying, and is characterized by good keeping quality and transportability.
