The Tacana plant is large and upright, with a vigorous growth habit. The fruits have an elongated conical shape, a smooth surface, and thick walls. At the technical maturity stage, the fruits are dark green in color and are distinguished by high pungency.
The variety belongs to the main-season cultivation category. It possesses resistance to fruit cracking, as well as tolerance to bacterial spot (races 1–3), tobacco mosaic virus, and potato virus Y.
