The Virovitičanka variety originated as a local folk selection in the area of Virovitica and belongs to conservation varieties. The plant has large leaves that provide protection for the fruits from intense sunlight and is characterized by a yield of about ten fruits per plant.
The fruits are of the "tomato paprika" type: they are flattened, firm, fleshy, with four seed chambers. At technical maturity, the fruits have a light yellow color.
