The variety has orange-yellow or canary-yellow petals, the color of which does not change during the maturation process. The plant is distinguished by a high degree of thorniness of the bracts.

The plant height is approximately 0.80 m, although the indicator may vary depending on growing conditions. The variety is used as a reference for assessing thousand kernel weight and other morphological parameters within the framework of international expert evaluation of safflower.
