The variety belongs to the group of red-flowered plants with a stem height of 50 to 150 cm. The growing season lasts from 100 to 130 days. The crop is a short-day plant, exhibits drought tolerance, and is suitable for cultivation on dry and calcareous soils.

The thousand kernel weight is from 25 to 50 g; the oil content in the seeds varies from 25 to 45 %. The variety is used as a forage crop, green manure, source of vegetable oil, and honey plant, characterized by a high nectar content during the flowering period at the end of summer.
