The variety is used as an oilseed crop and is also being studied as a raw material for producing natural dyes and antioxidant compounds from flower petals.

The oil of the variety is characterized by a specific fatty acid composition; in particular, the stearic acid content is about 0.025%. The accumulation level of antioxidant compounds depends on the sowing dates and varies between winter or spring cultivation.
