The variety is a biennial crop. In the first year of vegetation, the plant forms a leaf rosette, and in the second year, it develops a stem with a height of 1 to 1.5 meters. The flowers of the plant are gathered in umbellate inflorescences and have a color ranging from white to pale pink.

The product quality of this caraway type is determined by the composition of the essential oil, where the main components are carvone and limonene. The essential oil content in the fruits typically ranges from 3% to 7%.

The crop is used in the food and pharmaceutical industries as a spice-aromatic and medicinal plant. It is used as an antispasmodic and carminative agent, including for gastrointestinal disorders.
