The KAMI variety served as a benchmark in Danish variety trials, with its seed yield taken as 100% when evaluating new breeding lines. In publications from that period, it was cited as a base for comparative analysis of winter hardiness, stem length, flowering and ripening dates, and essential oil content.

This caraway variety was grown for industrial purposes to obtain seeds used in the pharmaceutical, food, and perfumery industries. Currently, the variety is considered obsolete and has been removed from official lists.
