The Clareta variety is a local variety of Castanea sativa adapted to the climate of Catalonia. The variety is intended for cultivation for the purpose of obtaining fruit.

The development cycle of the chestnut in this region includes flowering from mid-June to mid-July and fruit ripening from early October to mid-November. Detailed agrotechnical characteristics of the variety are not available in open sources.
