The variety is a historical landrace widely distributed in the province of Cuneo. The fruits are characterized by small to medium size, high organoleptic qualities, and ease of peeling.

Fruits ripen in mid-September. The variety is included in the list of cultivars authorized for the production of products with the Castagna Cuneo IGP geographical indication.
