Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to traditional types formed through folk selection. The name has historically been associated with a specific genotype grown in the province of Bologna. Trees of this variety are characterized as rustic and undemanding to growing conditions.

The fruits do not possess high consumer qualities for fresh consumption. They are characterized by weight variability, the presence of polyembryony, and a tightly adhering pellicle that penetrates the cotyledons, which complicates the peeling process.
