The tree is large, slow-growing, and has a dense canopy with well-developed branches. The trunk is dark brown in color; young shoots are thick and smooth. The leaves are oval-lanceolate in shape; the buds are small and conical.
The fruits are large, spherical, with a shiny brown-red pericarp decorated with dark stripes. The seed is light cream in color; the pellicle separates easily from the kernel. The variety is considered early; harvest begins in the last ten days of September.
Used for fresh consumption, as well as for processing into flour and making desserts. The variety is valued for its good flavor and storage suitability.
