The BKCELOR variety belongs to the genus Celosia of the Amaranthaceae family and belongs to the Plumosa group of Celosia argentea. In commercial practice, it is known under the name Kelos Fire Orange.

The plant is an ornamental crop. Distinctive features of the variety are its orange panicle inflorescences and a prolonged flowering period, which lasts from late spring to the first frosts.
