Pink Storm is a deciduous multi-stemmed shrub with a spreading rounded shape, reaching a height of 1.2–1.5 meters. A feature of the variety is the absence of thorns on the shoots. The foliage is glossy, dark green in color, and has an oval or oblong shape.
Flowering occurs in early spring on old wood before the leaves appear. The flowers are large, double, about 5 cm in diameter, resembling roses or camellias in appearance. A secondary wave of flowering is possible in early summer. The variety produces virtually no fruit, so it is used exclusively for decorative purposes.
The plant possesses resistance to drought and heat. The winter hardiness of the variety is estimated down to -25°C, which corresponds to USDA zones 5–9. During the breeding process, selection was carried out for resistance to a number of fungal diseases characteristic of this species.
