The plant is a deciduous shrub that reaches a height and width of about 1.5 meters after 10 years. The shrub has a bushy shape and is completely devoid of thorns on the shoots.

The flowers are semi-double, bright red in hue, with yellow stamens. Flowering is abundant and can occur in two stages: the first in March before the leaves emerge, the second in May concurrently with the appearance of green leaves. There is no floral fragrance.

The variety is intended for ornamental use in flower beds, hedges, and tubs. It prefers sunny areas or partial shade and tolerates both fresh and dry soils well.
