Domaći krupnozrni is a traditional chickpea variety of folk selection. The plant is an annual herbaceous crop with a powerful root system, penetrating the soil to a depth of up to 1 meter, and a stem height of 30 to 80 cm.
The main characteristic of the variety is the large grain size. The crop is valued for its resistance to arid conditions. The variety is traditionally used for food in the preparation of soups, side dishes, and salads, and is often grown without the use of intensive chemical protection agents and mineral fertilizers.
