The Donia variety is a Kabuli-type chickpea form characterized by light-colored seeds. During agronomic trials, the variety demonstrated increased resistance or tolerance to Fusarium wilt infection.

In comparative field studies conducted in the late 1990s, the variety showed high productivity, matching the level of the best control samples. In scientific literature, the variety is primarily mentioned as collection material for breeding work.
