The variety is the result of many years of breeding using ICARDA genetic material. It is designed for cultivation under water deficit and rising temperature conditions, is intended for autumn-winter sowing, and belongs to long-cycle development varieties.
The seeds have an average mass: the 1000-kernel weight is 298 grams, and the shape varies from round to angular. The variety demonstrates resistance to chickpea anthracnose caused by the fungus Ascochyta rabiei.
