The variety is mid-season, reaching technical maturity 75–100 days after sowing. The plant forms a large rosette approximately 15–20 cm in height. Leaves are strongly curled, dark green with wide white central veins.

The variety is cold-hardy and resistant to wet conditions, bolting slowly. The taste is described as slightly bitter, refreshing, and nutty. To obtain a more delicate flavor and reduce bitterness, a heart-blanching procedure by tying the leaves is recommended.

Intended for fresh consumption, use in salads, side dishes, soups, and stews. The variety performs best when grown in cool seasons — in early spring or autumn.
