Variety description

The variety belongs to the escarole group (Cichorium endivia var. latifolium). The plant forms a voluminous and dense rosette up to 40 cm in height with broad, light green, slightly serrated and curly leaves. The heart of the variety fills quickly, has a yellow color, and is capable of self-blanching, which makes the leaves tender and light-colored.

The plant possesses hardiness, tolerates frosts well, and maintains a vertical habit, which contributes to the health of the lower part of the rosette. The variety is intended for cultivation in the open field during the summer-autumn period. The recommended planting scheme is 30x30 cm.
