The plant is a leaf chicory with elongated leaves having deeply serrated edges. The leaves are green, with the petioles (stems) distinguished by a reddish hue.

The variety is intended for the autumn-winter season and reaches maturity for harvest approximately 40 days after sowing. The crop possesses resistance to low temperatures, which allows for its use during the autumn period.

In culinary use, the leaves and stems are consumed both fresh and after heat treatment. Sowing is recommended from July to September at a depth of 0.5–1.5 cm, maintaining a planting pattern of 30–40 cm between rows and 20–25 cm between plants.
