The plant belongs to the red-leaved chicory group and forms heads with an upright growth habit. This facilitates the development of dense inner head parts, and the produce itself is characterized by significant weight and an attractive appearance.

The hybrid possesses a high degree of resistance to a number of diseases, including powdery mildew and tomato spotted wilt virus, as well as resistance to leaf tip burn and bolting. The variety is intended for fresh consumption.

The plant is adapted for cultivation in the spring and during moderate summer conditions. It is also recommended for overwintering in the southeastern regions of the USA.
