The plant forms compact, rounded heads with smooth leaves and prominent light-colored veins. Depending on the variation, leaf color ranges from green to dark green. The variety is mid-early, with a growing period lasting from 65 to 140 days.

The variety is distinguished by its hardiness and ability to adapt to different soil types; it prefers a temperate climate. It tolerates low temperatures well but is sensitive to prolonged severe frosts. Exposure to cold is often required to form a dense rosette structure.

The leaves have a characteristic slightly bitter taste and are used primarily fresh. The plant can be grown both for cutting individual leaves and for obtaining whole rosettes intended for autumn-winter consumption or early spring harvest.
