The variety belongs to the leaf chicory group, puntarelle type. It is a vigorous plant with a compact cylindrical shape, reaching a height of about 40 cm. The variety is non-hybrid and is of the open-pollinated type.

The growing period is 60–70 days from sowing to technical maturity. The plant is characterized as hardy and undemanding. The variety is intended for the production of edible young shoots and rosettes, and not for use as root chicory for beverage production.
