The fruits of this hybrid are characterized by their marketability and firm flesh consistency. Due to the triploid nature of the plant, seeds in the fruits are underdeveloped or absent. Cultivation requires the use of pollinator varieties, as the hybrid does not produce viable pollen.

In breeding materials, the variety is also known by the number ACX 5624. It is important not to confuse the variety name with the general description of fruit characteristics "crispy red flesh," which is found in other watermelon hybrids.
