Mexican Lime is a medium to large shrubby tree characterized by high thorniness. Leaves have a distinct aroma when rubbed. Fruits are small, with thin, smooth yellow-green peel, and juicy, highly aromatic flesh containing seeds. The variety is extremely sensitive to frost.
The grapefruit variety STAR RUBY forms a compact tree with leathery dark green leaves and small thorns or none at all. Fruits have a light yellow peel with a reddish blush, intensely colored ("ruby") flesh, containing few or almost no seeds. The variety is susceptible to Phytophthora, pests, and nutrient imbalance, and tolerates cold and extreme heat poorly.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
