The variety was obtained in 1984 as a result of a controlled cross between the Imperial mandarin and the Ellendale tangor. The fruits have an oblate shape, a diameter of 61–68 mm, and a weight of 104–146 g. The rind is medium orange in color, smooth or slightly pitted, glossy, and easily separates from the flesh.

The variety is pollen-sterile and exhibits strongly expressed parthenocarpy, which ensures the production of practically seedless fruits. The flesh is sweet and juicy, with a tender texture and soft segment walls. The variety belongs to the early or mid-early maturity group.
