The variety is a hybrid obtained as a result of crossing Oroval clementine and Kara mandarin. It has medium vigor; large thorns may be present on vigorous branches, which disappear or decrease on fruit-bearing shoots.

The plant is prone to alternate bearing. It is characterized by low pollen viability, self-incompatibility, and parthenocarpy. The variety did not become widespread in industrial production, serving as a basis for creating varieties such as Moncalina and Milana.
