The Mina variety is closely related to selection number AECO1, which is a clementine mandarin obtained through bud irradiation of the Clemenules variety. The plant is characterized by high productivity and resistance to abiotic temperature stress.

The fruits of this variety are distinguished by a bright orange-red peel color, ease of peeling, and a low seed content.
