The variety is a triploid hybrid obtained by crossing the Wilking mandarin and the Minneola tangelo. The tree is characterized by medium vigor, the presence of thorns, and a canopy with drooping branches. The variety shows a tendency toward alternate bearing.

The fruits are large, weighing 115–160 g, have an oblate shape and dark orange flesh. The ripening period occurs from late February to mid-March. Due to the tight adherence of the peel to the flesh, the fruits are difficult to peel, which has limited the commercial potential of the variety, despite the absence of seeds.
