The variety is a spontaneous bud mutation of the Olinda Valencia variety. Trees are medium-sized or large, with a dense canopy, and are prone to alternate bearing. The variety shows tolerance to brown spot caused by the fungus Alternaria alternata.
Fruits have a spherical shape, orange slightly rough rind, and low seed content. The flesh has a dark pink or reddish tint, sugar content varies from 10 to 16 degrees Brix, and juice yield is 48–63%. With very high yields, fruits are prone to cracking and the formation of creases.
