Variety description

10 August 2026

Cleminov 51 (trade name Saphyra® Indigo) is not a climbing vine. The plant forms flexible shoots that grow upright at the beginning of the growing season and then become pendulous. The height of an adult specimen is from 1.0 to 1.5 meters.

Flowers with a diameter of 8–10 cm consist of 5–6 indigo-colored tepals, which lighten over time. Anthers are initially dark purple, later becoming whitish at the base. The plant belongs to pruning group 3, which requires shortening the shoots to 20–50 cm from the ground in late winter or early spring.

The variety is characterized by high disease resistance and frost resistance. The crop is sensitive to drought and excessive water stagnation. The versatility of the variety allows it to be used as a ground cover plant, as well as for decorating terraces, balconies, and small gardens.
