The variety is a perennial deciduous climbing liana 1.8 to 2.7 meters in height. Obtained as a result of crossing Clematis cadmia. The plant is characterized by high resistance to wilt and winter hardiness in USDA zones 6a to 11.

Flowers with a diameter of 6–8 cm are flat in shape and face upwards. The color of the petals varies from purple-pink to silvery-blue; upon maturation, a lilac stripe may appear in the center of the petal. The variety possesses a pronounced fragrance reminiscent of lemon and vanilla.

The flowering period lasts from April to June; a repeat flush is possible after pruning. The plant is used for landscaping trellises and arches, decorating small trees, and cultivation in containers.
