Variety description

The vine reaches a height of 2–3 meters. The flowers are semi-nodding, bell-shaped or tulip-shaped, ranging in size from 4 to 10 cm, with purple-red buds, lilac margins, and a deep lavender or violet center. Contrast is provided by pale yellow anthers. The foliage is light green, heart-shaped with a pointed tip.

Flowering continues from June to September or October. The plant belongs to the third pruning group, requiring shoots to be shortened to 15–25 cm from ground level in early spring. The variety is characterized as hardy, has a USDA hardiness zone of 6, and is often classified in the Texensis group.

The plant is suitable for the decorative landscaping of pergolas, arches, gazebos, and for growing in containers.
