The variety Rollercoaster (breeding number ZO16170) is a deciduous climbing vine up to 2 meters high and about 1 meter wide. The plant has mid-green foliage and is characterized by a high growth rate.

Flowering occurs in two waves: in late spring, voluminous double flowers in delicate purple shades appear; after a summer pause, single flowers of the same color bloom. The variety belongs to pruning group 2, is winter hardy, and requires the use of supports when grown in a garden or containers.

The plant is susceptible to infestation by aphids, snails, caterpillars, earwigs, as well as specific vine diseases such as wilt. Contact with skin causes irritation, and ingestion can be harmful to pets.
