Variety description

The plant is a compact, cushion-shaped bush 20 to 40 cm in height with narrow lanceolate foliage. The capitulum inflorescences reach 5 cm in diameter. The petals are colored a deep burgundy-red with a contrasting bright yellow center; at high temperatures, a light bloom may appear on them.

The variety has high resistance to diseases, in particular to powdery mildew, as well as to drought and heat. Due to the sturdy stems and compactness, the bush does not require support. The flowering period lasts from the beginning of summer to autumn; due to sterility, seeds do not set, which contributes to the continuous formation of new buds.

The plant is adapted to USDA hardiness zones 5–9. In landscape design, it is used for the front edge of borders, rock gardens, and container gardening.
