The variety is a perennial evergreen or semi-evergreen herbaceous plant. The height is usually 1.2–1.5 m, but depending on conditions, it can reach 2–3 m. It forms a dense clump of narrow linear leaves of dark green or gray-green color.

The plant produces fluffy panicles of creamy-white or light yellow color. Flowering occurs from August to October, and in some cases begins in June. The variety is considered early-flowering and is characterized by resistance to diseases, pests, and lodging.

It belongs to USDA hardiness zone 7 and withstands temperatures down to -15°C...-18°C. In European conditions, it requires winter protection or to be kept in containers in cool rooms. It is used in landscape design as a solitaire plant or for group plantings.
