Perennial evergreen herbaceous plant, characterized as a compact or dwarf form. Plant height varies in different sources from 80–90 cm to 120–150 cm including flower stalks; mentions of heights up to 250–300 cm are encountered. Leaves are narrow, linear, colored in silvery-green.
Flowering occurs in the period from August to October, inflorescences are fluffy creamy-white panicles. The variety belongs to hardiness zone 7 and requires sunny locations for growth. Due to its compact size, the plant is suitable for decorating borders, small gardens, as well as cultivation in containers on patios and balconies.
