Variety description

The plant has a tufted growth habit and reaches a height of 1.6 to 2.5 meters including the flower stalks. The foliage is narrow, rigid, often with sharp-serrated edges. The panicle-shaped inflorescences are pinkish-red or purple in color and begin to appear from September.
The variety is used as an ornamental plant for solitary plantings. It is characterized as conditionally winter-hardy, requiring protection or special care under certain conditions.
