Variety description

The variety is characterized by variegation: the leaves have golden hues with contrasting white or light-colored stripes, which is reflected in the variety name. The plant is perennial and described as more compact compared to species forms of Cortaderia.

Flowering occurs in late summer or early autumn, accompanied by the formation of paniculate inflorescences characteristic of this species. The plant is photophilous and used in landscape design to create color accents.
