Arancino melon is a trailing herbaceous plant 30–50 cm in height. The variety is mid-early, with a ripening period of 80–85 days.
The fruits are rounded in shape, 15–20 cm in diameter and 0.9–1.8 kg in weight, covered with a distinct netting and may be slightly ribbed. The flesh is bright orange, firm, juicy, and possesses an intense aroma and high sweetness.
The variety is an heirloom and is valued for the good keeping quality of the fruits after harvest, as well as high flavor qualities when consumed fresh.
