The Arapaho melon belongs to the Charentais segment and possesses high growth vigor with an optimal balance between vegetative mass and fruit bearing. The variety is oriented towards the fresh produce market, and the fruits are characterized by an attractive appearance and high sugar content.

The plant possesses high resistance to Fusarium wilt (races 0, 1) and intermediate resistance to powdery mildew and other fungal diseases.
