The plant is an annual, long-vined, and highly branching crop. The fruits have a round or slightly flattened shape weighing from 0.5 to 1.5 kg. The skin is thin, smooth, gray-green in color with dark longitudinal stripes, acquiring a creamy-yellow tint upon ripening. The flesh is orange, buttery, with a pronounced musky aroma and high sugar content.
The fruit ripening period is 70–90 days. The variety is heat-loving and sensitive to frost. Due to the thin skin and tender flesh, the fruits have low transportability and a short shelf life of about 4 days. Used primarily fresh, in salads and appetizers.
