The variety belongs to the Inodorus group of winter melons. The fruits have an oblong oval shape; the rind is colored dark green and may have a spotted or marbled pattern. The light-colored flesh has a sweet taste and a pronounced aroma.
The main feature of the variety is its ability for long-term storage; fruits retain their quality in a cool place for up to 2–4 months after harvest. It is a traditional variety closely related to European Piel de Sapo type varieties.
