The plant is trailing and requires significant space for planting. Fruits are oblate, ribbed, often with lumpiness, and change color during ripening from dark green to pale gray or glaucous with possible salmon shades. The flesh is dense, firm, sweet, and retains its structure during heat treatment.
The variety is mid-to-late (vegetation period of about 115 days) and requires a warm climate for successful fruiting. It is valued for its excellent keeping quality and high culinary properties when baked and used in various dishes.
