The rootstock belongs to the medium-growing or semi-dwarfing group and restricts the growth of grafted pear varieties by approximately 30% compared to seedling rootstocks. Trees grafted on this rootstock begin bearing fruit in the 2–4th year, with the fruit characterized by large size and intense coloration.
The plant is resistant to lime-induced chlorosis, brown leaf spot, and crown gall, but has weak resistance to fire blight. Winter hardiness of the root system is rated as medium. Due to insufficient anchorage, trees often require support, and in cases of incompatibility with certain pear varieties, an intermediate graft is required.
